Yael Molchadsky

My happiest childhood memory is of my father reading to me in Russian the stories of Sherlock Holmes – the book he loved as a young reader. Years later I read my favorite book – The Never Ending Story – to my kids in Hebrew, and these were my happiest moments as a parent.

For me, there is nothing more wonderful than to connect over a book, and after fifteen years as editor-in-chief of Children’s books at Kinneret publishing house, I truly believe that this connection is the essence of publishing. Books are treasures we share and pass to each other, and as an editor I am there to discover them, curate them, and send them out into the hands of young readers.

At LAMA books, I want to share with them my special interest in making complex ideas simple and accessible through word and image and their magical connection, I want to share with them my love of learning – the one thing I never exhaust and never regret.

Daniel Dolinger

I grew up in an observant Jewish family, and the written word – in prayers and scripture – was present in every moment of my childhood. When I left home to study Psychology at Tel Aviv University and Business Management in Paris, I met another reality and started questioning the world I grew up in. Eventually, I chose a different path for myself, but the written word stayed with me and so did questioning and the challenges of reality.

I believe these three are also the pillars of my life in publishing. I thrive on the magical moments in which a new book comes to life. Every book I publish is a vessel of knowledge and beauty, every book is hope. But what will happen to it when it meets the readers remains my challenge.

As head of marketing at Kinneret Publishing House since 2014, I am there to make these magical publication moments happen. And even more so in LAMA books where the readers are young, curious and open-minded, and just like me many years ago, have more questions than answers.
